Fabric

Founded in 1951 in Kyoto, Omiya used to focus on producing belt for kimonos. Kyoto being the center of the Kimono production and trade, Omiya could grow and develop new dyed and woven fabrics.
Among them the Sanjikuori is special technical fabric born 40 years ago. Omiya manufactures original products such as scarves but also performs in collaboration fabric collections with international design houses.


Technique: Sanjiku -ori ( Sanjiku weaving ). Normal weaving technique implies that the thread intersects in two axes, while the SANJUKUORI technique crosses three threads.
